When do Raccoons have babies?

#Raccoon breeding can vary, but the most common months are between November and December. Once pregnant, a female raccoon will carry her cub for roughly 60-65 days. This puts the most births in the months of February or March, late breeders can take up to April or May. This is important because if a female #raccoon gives birth in your attic, her young will be completely reliant on her for 2-4 months, they do not even open their eyes until 3 weeks after birth. It is during this time the mother #raccoon is very maternal and extremely aggressive when cornered or threatened. Due to this dependence, a female raccoon will only have one litter per year ranging between 3-5 cubs. Raccoons are incredibly territorial so if you feel you have them in your attic, it is best to call a professional as soon as possible. Do not try to remove raccoons yourself.
